District La Brea invites you to its Holiday Shop & Stroll event on December 1st from noon to 4 p.m. During the event, District La Brea retailers will offer special in-store promotions and activities, gifts-with-purchase, and giveaways. There will be exciting new holiday pop-ups as well as a holiday-themed “parklet” created by Bend Goods for visitors to enjoy. While they shop, guests will be treated to FREE entertainment ranging from interactive selfie stations to a live DJ spinning festive holiday tunes. There will also be a raffle with 10 fabulous prizes, FREE refreshments, local food trucks – including the Hearts Revolution ice cream truck, FREE craft beer samples (for guests over 21 years of age), and flowers for purchase from the Lenita Flower truck

Fjallraven CONTEST: During the event, there will also be a contest at Fjall Raven with fabulous prizes to draw attention to the Channel Island fox which is near extinction. Shoppers who purchase $X from Fjall Raven during the December 1st event can redeem their store receipts for raffle tickets for a chance to win one of 10 fabulous prizes including:

1 Grand Prize: Four round-trip tickets to Avalon on the Catalina Express, four seats on the Catalina Island Conservancy Eco Jeep Tour (a two-hour tour), two Fjallraven Kanken backpacks, and a one-night stay in a hotel.

Join Best Made Co. and natural dye master Graham Keegan for an evening of indigo and shibori (folded and clamped resist) dyeing. Attendees will learn learn the fundamentals of this historic pattern making process, how to create a variety of patterns, and create their own custom-dyed pieces in a plant derived indigo vat. All dye and two bandanas will be provided. This workshop is meant to empower you with the knowledge and information resources you need to take your pieces to the next level! Refreshments will be provided. Graham Keegan’s Indigo & Shibori Natural Dye Kits will also be available to purchase!

AETHER Apparel, Triumph Motorcycles, and The Mighty Motor present: “California & The Scrambler”
A panel event focusing on the past and present of the iconic scrambler motorcycle.
The evening will include a panel discussion moderated by Triumph’s Phil Read. Panelists include husband-and-wife motorcycle-building duo Hayden Roberts and Joy Lewis and Deus Ex Machina’s Julian Heppekausen, all of whom have logged many hours on scramblers and will discuss taking the machine to its limit.
