Throwback Thursday Series

Over the past 4 years, the District La Brea project has undergone a complete overhaul. The 11 buildings between 1st & 2nd Streets along La Brea Avenue have been redevelopment to accommodate retail, restaurants and creative offices while maintaining the physical characteristics and an authenticity. As part of #ThrowbackThursday series, we will be showcasing District La Brea’s before and afters, including the people, the artist and retailers behind the project.

La Brea 2008

For our first Throwback on the block, we’re showcasing the first phase of the project. We started work back in 2010 which included the redevelopment of 6 retail store fronts. We revived the buildings by exposing the unique patterned wood ceilings, original brick walls and steal beams.
